The future is set!

I have been confirmed by Cycle. Come mid July, ill take on a completely new and different occupation. It was my dream and it still is. Many people said that i was mad for choosing this new career path. How can i ever cope with this insecurity? Seriously i don't know. But i know this is what i've always wanted and now the chance has arrived. I wondered have u ever heard of this story :

Long ago, there were 2 water carriers, Alex and Beng Ho. Both were sturdy young men and they made a living by going up the mountain to fetch buckets of fresh water. From morning till the sheeps went home, they did this day after day, months after months. Water-carrying provided them with very stable income because everyone wants to drink the freshest water right from the top of the mountain.

However Beng Ho had always felt that something was missing. He was always deep in thoughts when he carried water down the mountain. He thought, " I can't be doing this all my life. What if I'm sick one day? Or when i grow old? How am i gonna get the dough?" So he had an idea. The idea he had was to build a pipe that tapped the fresh mountain water from the mountain top all the way to the foot of the mountain, into a large water tank. All he had to do was to turn on the tap on the water tank and out the fresh mountain water gushed.

So Beng Ho stopped his carrying of water down from the mountain. Initially all he did is to design sketches and sketches of the piping system. He did research, asked the piping experts for their opinions and went on with improving this engineering work.
Then came the day when the design was finalised. Beng Ho rolled up his sleeves and started on the tedious job of building the pipe. He had asked Alex to join him in this venture because it was such a massive project and Alex has always been good with his hands.

However Alex gave this reply "No way! I gotta keep carrying my water. Now that u r no longer doin' it, my water will be more precious. I can charge people higher prices. No way im gonna forgo my income to do this tomfoolery! Besides we dun know whether it'll work eh? If i were ya, ill just stick with dis and be happy with beer at nite!"

Beng Ho was hugely disappointed but he was not discouraged.
So he worked harder than before, digging, shoving, occassionally stopping to see whether he was on the right track.
This went on for a few years. People now had started to talk behind Beng Ho's back, mocking at him that he was a dreamer. Alex continued with his water carrying and making merry at night.

Who would have thought one fine day . . .
.......................................................................................................................................................

Beng Ho's pipe has managed to tap the mountain water and out came the precious water when he turned the knob of the tap at the foot of the mountain!!
From then on, Beng Ho need not climb the mountain anymore and he just set up a store at the mountain foot and he would be able to supply the consumers with any amount of water.
Short-sighted Alex gotta keep carrying water and the amount he could carry decrease with each passing year...

Osaka

Just came back from Osaka yesterday. I have spent sooo much in Osaka, its mind-bloggling to think about it. So i shall not think about it. Well after all, im not so likely to go back in the near future anyway. I have enjoyed the entire process of the shopping and thats what counts right? Sigh..Excuses, excuses, excuses! :P

This has been quite a fun trip for me though i went out alone. Chanced upon this famed tourist spot, hmmm, dun really remember what is the name of the shopping district but its really very happening. Full of karaoke and themed Pachinko. Anyway that place is near Namba (難波)station on the Subway line, think that area is called Minami shopping district. Too bad forgot to bring camera, couldnt take down some beautiful pictures.

I was at this junction i saw this crab shop that has got a giant crab statue as sign board. The legs of the crab is movable, its so cool...There are so many people around, so much colorful lights and people busy taking photos at this famed tourist spot. I was just standing there, quietly taking in this scene. At that point of time, dunno why i felt very very touched, almost felt like tearing, like my life is beginning to take on another chapter and its baptised by this scene.
I guess its probably i started with Jal and for all the Osaka flights that i have did with Jal, i have never get to see Osaka and I have always thought that Osaka is a boring city.
How wrong was I!!
